PADI WRECK DIVER SPECIALTY

wrecks are fascinating windows to the past.

Ships, airplanes and even cars are usually teeming with aquatic life. Each wreck dive offers a chance for discovery, potentially unlocking a mystery or spying something others have missed.

What you will learn

Your training starts by reviewing guidelines for researching and respecting wrecks. You’ll also learn:

Safety considerations for navigating and exploring wrecks Surveying and mapping a wreck Using penetration lines and reels to guide exploration Techniques to avoid kicking up silt or disturbing the wreck and its inhabitants Equipment.

You’ll need your basic scuba equipment, plus a dive light to see into the wreck, a slate and underwater compass for mapping and navigation, and a line with reel for practicing wreck penetration.

Start learning with PADI’s home-study materials – Wreck Diving eLearning. Read and watch the video about Wreck Diving, then interact with knowledge checks in preparation for the 4 dives you make with us.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Age: 15 years old.
PADI Adventure Diver.
Medically fit for diving.
Medical Questionnaire
Because this is dive training, there is a medical form involved. You need to be fit for diving before you start your course. Contact us for more information.
Time Commitment: 2 days, 4 dives.
